A raft trip with rafters is a must-do when visiting Szczawnica. You won't find anything like it anywhere else in the world!
Rafting is one of the most important elements of Pieniny culture. It takes place on rafts along the mountain Dunajec River, a tradition dating back to 1831. Among the Pieniny peaks, surrounded by the natural forests and fresh mountain air – this is the essence of the Pieniny Mountains.
During the rafting, raftsmen – true inhabitants of the Pieniny Mountains dressed in traditional costumes – not only steer the raft but also talk about highland culture and sing highland songs.

Rifting takes place from April to October.
